Foreign Office, November 1, 1909. WITH reference to your despatch No. 204 of the 30th May last, I transmit to you herewith a copy of a letter which has been received from the India Office enquiring whether in your opinion steps should now be taken to come to an agreement with the Chinese Government regarding the construction of the Bhamo-Tengyueh Railway.*
I shall be glad to receive your views upon the subject.
